Start with one defined phase
My current best fit is a small, clearly bounded project: mapping an existing workflow, testing a documentation or digitization process on a limited sample, or building a focused prototype or internal tool. Each phase begins with written goals and deliverables and ends with a documented handoff. Small tools include clear documentation and handoff notes so future developers or collaborators can understand, maintain, and extend the work.

The first engagement is designed to answer one practical question or produce one implementable improvement. Any follow-on phase is scoped separately and proceeds by mutual agreement.

How I work
Each project begins with what already exists: the files, objects, tools, habits, dependencies, and decisions that shape the work. I favor understandable structures, open formats, exportable data, and documented workflows. Scope is set around what I can responsibly design, build, test, and support as an independent practitioner.
Working boundaries
Mina Systems is an independent practice, not a full-service photography studio, conservation lab, or enterprise software vendor. Large-volume capture, conservation handling, certification or compliance work, and open-ended support are outside my current scope. Larger needs may require additional specialists and/or equipment.
